One minute, no pitch

Watch me teach before you decide anything.

I'd rather show you a real lesson moment and the feedback that follows it than tell you how good I am. Sixty seconds, then judge for yourself.

What feedback looks like

After a lesson, honest notes on what went well and what to work on next — when they are released.

This is an illustration of the format, not a learner's report — a real anonymised example will replace it once one has been chosen and cleared. What it shows is the shape of the feedback: specific, honest, and never just "great job".

Illustrative example
Lesson notes
55 min · 1:1
Went well
Told a five-minute story about a project going wrong without stopping to search for words.
Worth fixing
Conditionals under pressure — "if we would have" for "if we had". We'll practise it in context, not on a worksheet.
Words we used
to push back · a workaround · to flag something · a hard deadline
Drafted from a transcript of the lesson, then read and corrected by me before you see it.

Things I'm not going to claim

A student number. I've never counted my learners properly, so I'm not going to put a figure on a page and ask you to trust it.

A wall of reviews. I'd rather ask a few current learners properly than reprint testimonials from years ago.

Letters after my name. I'm studying for an MA in Language Education at Chichester. It isn't finished, and I won't write it as though it is.

Before you book

  • What does it cost?

Trial lesson £10 (55 min, up to 3 per member). Ongoing: four-class pack £78 (4 × £19.50). Same prices as in the learner app — pay by card after sign-up. No single-lesson purchase.

  • Who is this for?

Adults who already have some English (roughly B1–B2+) and want useful 1:1 conversation practice — not exam cram or marketplace shopping for random tutors.

  • What happens after I click?

You create a free learner account (Sign up), complete a short intake, then Book with Jon in the app — choose a trial or the four-class pack, pick a time, and pay by card. Reschedule and booking rules are shown before you pay.

If that sounds like the way you'd want to be taught, let's talk.

A short conversation, in English, about what you actually need — sign up, then book a trial or four-class pack with Jon.
